How to show 3D PDF interactive views inside PowerPoint Slides
How To include 3D PDFs within a PowerPoint is a common question we are asked. It normally disrupts the flow of the presentation if you have to stop and leave PowerPoint and use an external viewer, such as the Adobe Reader. Using the resources provided and explained on this page, you can embed a 3D view right inside any powerpoint slide, and interact with 3D rotation without leaving your presentation! No coding is required, no special configurations, and it will work with ANY 3D PDF from any source. A sample PowerPoint presentation is supplied with the PDF3D-SDK software.
You should already have the Adobe Reader or Acrobat installed, and of course Powerpoint. Read the technical installation instructions. Then use the "Add Webpage" menu item to start a small wizard dialog. This let's you drop in the 3D view anywhere on your PowerPoint slide during the design phase. Once you change your mode to "Show Slide", it will load the PDF file into the view! We recommend you keep your PowerPoint file and PDF files in the same folder, so they can find each other without resorting to paths.
