(Product Representation Compact)
PRC is a 3D data structure and file format used to embed 3D interactive data and models into a PDF file. The format allows for highly compressed geometric representations, with varying levels of tessellated surface geometry spatial tolerance. In exact forms of representations, it may also include precise tessellations or BREP curved surface data types. Dimensional and associated metadata may also be included as PMI annotations within the PRC encoding.
The PRC encoding scheme is part of the published ISO specification PDF/Engineering ISO-24517-1:2008 International Standard.
