Beagle Geoscience, consultants to the petroleum exploration community, will be showcasing their latest development featuring PDF3D’s 3D PDF technology at the oil industry’s Prospex conference in London, December 10th and 11th 2014.
London, UK, December 02, 2014 – PDF3D, the software developers behind PDF3D ReportGen and PDF3D-SDK, are continuing to forge strong relationships with key providers in the geosciences industry. After a successful show at InterGeo in Berlin a few weeks ago, their technology is set to make an appearance again at the oil & gas industry’s London event, Prospex.
PDF3D are the established developers of 3D PDF conversion tools and have been operating in the engineering sector for some years but, as their software has become more sophisticated in terms of geospatial features over the past 24 months, the company is now leading the way in the geospatial PDF arena.
“Our expansion into the Oil and Gas industry has been a natural and exciting growth area for PDF3D. Big data and 3D are driving technological change at a rapid rate in geosciences and our technology can handle both. As we’ve been working alongside some of the big innovators in the industry, our software has evolved to handle the kinds of complex modelling and adapt to large data formats the industry now works with,” explained Ian Curington, CEO of PDF3D.
3D PDFs allow those working with large scale data, such as information gathered in point clouds and scans, to save, store and share those complex, big files and models in a format that anyone can access. With PDF3D’s easy to use tools, the ability to convert data from a wide range of specialist software is achieved at the click of a button, resulting in sharp, high compression images that can be animated, rotated and manipulated.
“We are very excited to see this latest example of our technology being expertly used by Beagle Geoscience at the Prospex show later this month. Using our SDK Toolkit, their developers have integrated our technology beautifully,” added Ian. “We have no doubt their audience will benefit greatly from the new features they’re offering.”
Dave Rhodes, Director and Principle Geophysicist of Beagle Geoscience added, “We’ve spent a great deal of time on this 3D PDF integration in order to get the solution right. With the help of PDF3D’s tech support and customer service, we’re very pleased to be able to showcase this long-awaited solution to the Oil and Gas industry in London. We’re expecting a great response.”
To view PDF3D’s technology in practice, visitors are invited to the Prospex Show in London, 10-11 December at the Business Design Centre, where an example of Beagle Geosciences’ current 3D PDF work will be on demonstration as part of the Norway Discovery Digest at Stand 44 Exploration Geosciences (UK).
