PDF3D Release Revealed At InterGeo 2014

As the GIS, surveying and land management communities from around the world descend on the year’s big conference in Berlin, PDF3D will be revealing their latest geospatial 3D PDF features in V2.11.

London, UK, October 07, 2014 – InterGeo 2014 is set to be bigger than ever this year with over 16,000 visitors from 92 countries expected to attend in Berlin this October. With all eyes firmly set on the new developments within 3D, PDF3D, leaders in Geospatial PDF conversion reporting and collaboration software, will be revealing their latest GIS features to the professional audience with live demonstrations at the show.

“We’re excited to be exhibiting this year at InterGeo for many reasons”, commented Ian Curington of PDF3D, “Not only do we have some exciting new features to showcase in V2.11 of PDF3D ReportGen, but we’re also delighted to see our technology being used in other software being demonstrated at the show by partners Zoller + Frohlich, Carlson and Pix4D.”

Keeping the full details of V2.11 under wraps for now, Ian did give some clues as to what visitors to their stand can expect from this upcoming release: “3D PDF conversion is gaining ground with GIS users who already enjoy the animation features and the excellent compression quality of images and point clouds. Thanks to unique high file compression, the small 3D geospatial PDFs are easily shared”, explained Ian, “This latest version expands on that with various geo-specific features including the ability to drape georeferenced ortho-images onto terrain models merged with civil engineering structures.”

V2.11 benefits from even more ways to view and interact with the 3D PDF, as well as a greater range of data types now accepted for conversion into PDF.

“One of the reasons our software has remained so popular over the years is our straightforward interface which we’re looking forward to demonstrate at InterGeo. Our software automates the complex conversion technology in the background so that the user can focus on the various report styling options available – most of which are achieved in just one click of a button. Developers will also enjoy the simplicity of our software and ease of integration with other technology,” added Dan O’Connor, Sales and Marketing Director at PDF3D.

PDF3D will be demonstrating V2.11 at Booth B4.007 in Hall 4.1. Visitors to the stand will also have the chance to win the latest version of PDF3D ReportGen. Ask for Ian Curington or Dan O’Connor when visiting the stand.
