PDF3D Announces 3D PDF Generation Family Version 2.7

PDF3D® version 2.7.0 from Visual Technology Services incorporates performance enhancements and new features for Scientific, Engineering, Energy and Geographical 3D PDF technical reports.

London, UK, May 10, 2013 – The latest PDF3D® 2.7.0 from Visual Technology Services enhances and adds new features to 3D PDF technical report generation, updating both applications and the software developer toolkit PDF3D-SDK (www.pdf3d.com). Improvements for engineering analysis simulation include converting contours and time-varying effects to high quality 3D PDF interactive reports. The addition of new simulation formats and larger model support will be especially welcome in the engineering community. For earth science and resource exploration sectors, the larger models mapping complex attributes with annotations are seen as essential for production systems. For the civil engineering sector, inclusion of geospatial data reporting in both 2D and 3D PDF reports are included in PDF3D version 2.7.0. Merging multiple elevation tiles, point sample data and DWG® (Autodesk Inc.) structures into composite 3D PDF reports is extremely useful for interactive collaboration and review by distributed teams and is just one of many highlights.

For integration with enterprise software systems, the extensions in C++, C#, JAVA, and Python for direct control over ISO-14739 PRC 3D model data with PMI annotation opens up many new pathways. Significantly this is the first time any direct scripting language supporting PRC is available.

PDF3D is actively used for technical 3D work-flows in life sciences, marine, civil, environmental engineering projects, earth resource exploration, numerical modeling, and general scientific data visualization reporting. 3D PDF reporting enables faster decision making, lowering project costs through improved team collaboration. PDF3D 2.7.0 is available immediately for trial or purchase.
