Model Based Definitions (MBD) 3D PDF Document Generation

What is MBD?
The MBD idea of Model Based Definitions for CAD, involves using CAD system agnostic digital drawing files where not only the 3D geometric part shapes, designs are present, but further the tolerance, annotations, key design data required to fully interpret the 3D drawing. An MBD enabled drawing enables the capture of design configurations, performance requirements, manufacturing procedures, quality […]

STEP to 3D PDF

What is a STEP file?
STEP was developed to solve the age-old problem of sharing 3D model file data between different CAD systems.  STEP, which stands for Standard for the Exchange of Product Data, is essentially an exchange format, much like PDF, that can be recognized by various programs, thereby making it easier to send data to other CAD users.
